i have a 13ft fiberglass sit in boat i just bought. Its a older boat. it spins on a dime but if i stop paddling it will just spin out to the right. the boat is an odd shape... the nose and the tail come out of the water at the tips. the bottom of the boat is round and it has the same rounded shape from nose to tail. is this boat just not gonna track straight or is it my paddling... i have only ever had 10ft boats for fishing.

It sounds from the description that it could be an old-school whitewater boat. Those were about 10-13 ft. long and the hull had plenty of rocker from front to back. Great for going down rapids, but they'll drive you nuts to paddle straight for much distance on flatwater. Try paddling at a higher angle, with the blade as close to the boat as possible during the stroke so less effort goes to turning the boat.
